The Indian Youth Parliament envisages that motivated, committed and political youth leaders will emerge to provide a positive and effective leadership to their country and practice morality and politics for the betterment of the country and the world.

What is the Indian Youth Parliament ?

IYP is a platform on which youth from all ideologies-political, religious, sectarian or otherwise-assemble to voice their opinions. It is the awakening dialog in India to evolve future youths. It seeks to transform the outlook of youth minds for their involvement and access in societal and rational causes for nurturing the dreams and legitimate aspirations of young and resurgent faces of India for strengthening the foundation of Youth. It imparts practical training to prepare the youth for politics & society. It encourages the youth to serve the society by entering into public life and assuming roles. IYP conduct a unique and nationally significant and nationally significant 3-days Indian Youth Parliament in September, 15-17 on the occasion of World Democracy Day each year.

Is the Indian Youth parliament like other student or youth wings of political parties?

IYP is an independent and neutral organization that does not take political positions on the issues it addresses. It is rather a non-political organization established to transform the outlook of young minds for their involvement and access in societal and rational causes for nurturing the dreams and legitimate aspirations of young and resurgent faces of India for strengthening the foundation of Indian democratic leadership. Neither does it have any political affiliation of any sorts nor does it support any political ideology.

How is the Indian Youth parliament funded?

Indian Youth parliament is a foundation which is not funded or aided by any other organization. It tries to meet some of its expenses partly through participation fee and a few sponsorship. Indian Youth parliament is a not-for-profit foundation. We are yet to generate any surpluses of any kind as organizing expenses are far more than the amount generated as explained above.
