Restart Bridge Pathshala — Bring Children Back to School

Near Sarsawa Railway Station, Saharanpur,
there is a small slum where hundreds of children are growing up without regular education.

I am raising funds to restart Bridge Pathshala—
a community learning initiative to bring these children back from the streets to the classroom.

This is not just about education—
it is about restoring childhood, dignity, and hope.

Meet Anshul, Age 13

“I have never been to school…” — he says softly, with a quiet smile.

Anshul is a 13-year-old child growing up near the railway station,
where life is about survival, not schooling.

Unlike most children his age,
Anshul has never stepped into a classroom.

No school uniform…
No notebooks with his name…
No morning assembly…

Just days spent around the slum and railway tracks,
watching other children go to school—
and wondering what it feels like.

Yet, in his eyes, there is something powerful—
a curiosity to learn, a desire to belong, and a dream waiting to begin.

What do these children really need?

Not gadgets. Not luxury.

They need:

• A safe place to learn
• Regular teachers who show up every day
• Continuity in education
• Someone who believes in them

Because for them,
education is not missing—it is interrupted.

Help Them Return to Learning

When a child joins Bridge Pathshala,
they don’t just learn alphabets—
they rebuild their future.

With your support, these children can:

✔ Return to regular learning
✔ Prepare for school admissions
✔ Stay away from child labour and street life
✔ Build confidence and self-belief

About Bridge Pathshala

Bridge Pathshala, an initiative by Youth Vision Welfare Society,
was started in the slum near Sarsawa Railway Station.

These children belong to migrant families working in brick kilns and daily-wage jobs.
Due to migration, poverty, and lack of documents, most children are out of school.

When we started this initiative:

• Children began attending classes daily
• They started reading and writing
• Some got admitted into nearby schools
• The entire community experienced hope

But Then…

This initiative depended on volunteers and limited resources.

Slowly:

• Funds ran out
• Classes stopped
• And Bridge Pathshala had to close

Learning paused…
and children began drifting back to the streets.

Why Your Support Matters

Without support:

No classes = No learning
No guidance = No direction
No Pathshala = No future

But with your help, we can restart everything.

Because when a child gets education—
an entire generation changes.
